Children and teenagers are a great blessing to our church! We want them to worship with us as we gather as a community to lift our praise to God. But we also recognize that they need their own special time to pray, read the Bible, express themselves creatively, share and discuss together, and learn how to be followers of Christ.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Every Sunday, children ages 3 to 12 spend about fifteen minutes in worship with their families, after which they are invited to leave for Sunday school. In class, they pray together and study the Bible story for the day, exploring it in different ways, often through artistic expression or other activities, and connect it to their daily lives. These classes are loving and engaging, providing the perfect environment for children to learn about God’s love for them.

To supplement the children’s spiritual development, during a few holiday services and Ordinary Time services throughout the year, children (and teens) assist in worship leadership, including acting, singing, reading, and sharing crafts.
About once a month, SCC children collect coins and small bills during the “Noisy Offering,” which supports specific projects in our associated charities that positively impact children’s wellbeing throughout Santiago.
SCC YOUTH GROUP

The first and third Sundays of the month offer a great opportunity for middle and high school students, who go directly to their classroom at 10:30.
There, they share their “highs and lows” in light of what it means to be a Christian and learn how Christian practices, such as prayer and Bible reading, can form the foundation of one’s life.

This group also meets occasionally for social activities and outings based on their interests.
