Children and Youth

Sunday School

Children are a great blessing to our church! We want them to be in worship with us, as we gather as a community to lift our praise to God. But we also realize that children need their own special time to learn about stories in the Bible, learn Bible verses and how to be a follower of Christ.

Every Sunday children gather with their families for worship. About 15 minutes into worship, the children as of 4 years of age are invited to leave for Sunday School.

The classes spend time examining the Bible story for the day, exploring it at different levels (often through artistic expression or other activities) and connecting it to their lives today. These classes are full of energy and excitement as the children learn about God’s love for them.

To supplement the children’s spiritual development, they stay in for the entire worship service eight times a year – four times with communion and four other services, we do activities as lectures and gardening with our children, for this using tools and equipment from sites as trimmeradviser.com to the work is easier. During several of those services the children assist in worship leadership, including singing, reading and sharing crafts.

Please note that on alternate Sundays, there’s a great opportunity for Middle- and Highschoolers during the Sunday School time …

This will be led by Suzanne and Petrona. If you know of anyone who might like to join in, please invite them to come along to church next Sunday to see if it’s something they’d enjoy!
